Overlooking secluded Anse Petit Cour Bay in the north-west of the island, charming La Reserve, one of the island's most distinguished and relaxing small hotels, is ideal for honeymooners and
the perfect place for couples to escape the stress of everyday life.
Its Seychellois-style decor and accommodation, dotted around the lawns and tropical gardens, reflect an attractive old 'colonial' mood (enhanced by the large four-poster bed in each room).
The narrow sandy beach, sheltered by the hills and Curieuse island, normally offers good snorkelling (except at
low tide when the water can be quite shallow).
Secluded accommodation 14 Attractive bungalows, with king-size four-poster bed, private shower, air-conditioning, tea/coffee-maker, ceiling fan, mini-bar, safe, hairdryer and terrace. All are detached except for a family Bungalow with two interconnecting rooms.
There are 12 more spacious and handsomely appointed
rooms in three colonial-style Villas featuring large bathrooms with shower, air-conditioning, ceiling fan and terrace or verandah (most with direct sea view). Four Luxury Suites also front the sea.
Afternoon teas & candlelit dinners Leisurely lunches at the pool-side restaurant and cocktails from the swim-up pool bar help break up your day, whilst most guests
retire to the colonial-style villa which houses a bar and terrace besides the bay at four o'clock, in time-honoured tradition, where complimentary afternoon tea with a selection of sandwiches and cakes is served daily.
As the shadows lengthen, sunset cruises or aperitifs at the bar are a perfect start to the evening.
Romantic candlelit dinners at the charming Jetty
Restaurant, accompanied by soft music, round off your day in style. The cuisine here is recognised as being among the best on the island with Creole, Chinese and International dishes on the menu.
Entertainment Dancing to a live band three times weekly - Weekly Creole evening - Free weekly 'Sundowner' cruise and a daytime Discovery cruise with barbecue (extra charge).
Discover
the island's natural delights on a complimentary tour, including snorkelling trips to Curieuse and St Pierre Island and excursions to the Vallée de Mai Park. Keep your eyes peeled for the famous Coco de Mer palm and rare Black Parrots.
Sports (Free) - Snorkelling equipment
Scuba diving is available at the nearby PADI dive Centre at Cote d'Or beach - Boat hire,
deep-sea fishing and bicycle rental can be arranged locally.
La Reserve Hotel is 20mn away from Praslin's airport.
The beach of the bay is of good quality but seaweed does come in between December and February when tidal changes affect this side of the island.
Gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers in the evening. |
