You can enjoy a magical 'Robinson Crusoe' sense of serenity here amid this long-uninhabited and spectacularly beautiful granite island. An hour by boat (20 mns by helicopter) from Mahe, romantic North Island is home to a small and exclusive luxury lodge sanctuary of outstanding quality.
Edging a kilometre-long ribbon of white
sand, it offers its privileged guests a sense of true Zen 'barefoot luxury' with the bonus of superb snorkelling and diving facilities.
As part of a creative project to fashion a 'Noah's Ark' for the Seychelles, it allows such endangered species as tortoises, turtles, birds, hardwoods, corals and reef fish to benefit from their safe haven with a responsible tourism
programme helping to fund research and rehabilitation programmes.
Accommodation 11 Villas individually designed to provide the ultimate in seclusion and comfort. Villas 1 to 9 are located discretely in the tree-line, facing onto Anse d'Est Beach. Villas 10 and 11 are completely unique in their location. The beach views from these 2 Villas are truly spectacular from every
angle and it is this which separates these two remarkable Villas from the rest. Villas 10 and 11 are referred to as Villa Royale and Villa North Island respectively.
Beautifully integrated into the boulders and the shoreline, making use of local casuarinas and takamaka wood, each villa boasts 450m² (4,890 sq feet) allowing guests an exclusive feeling and enough room to
spread out and enjoy a unique, private, island-style experience to the full.
Each Villa has two bedrooms, a main bedroom and a second bedroom. Whilst the Villa is primarily occupied by one or two guests, you may wish to use the second bedroom for children 19 years and younger and this is available at an additional cost. Alternatively, the second bedroom can be converted into
a study for guests staying in the master bedroom.
The bedrooms are air-conditioned and all rooms have overhead 'punkah punkah' fans. The fully retracting sliding doors (but with protective blinds) allow for uninterrupted views onto the lawns and the turquoise seas. There is a satellite television, DVD, CD player and Internet access.
The main bathroom is spacious
with a marble bath, inside and outside showers, twin vanities and a dressing room. A separate toilet and bidet leads off the main bathroom.
The kitchen leads off the lounge and dining area. A private freshwater rock pool, 200m² of hand-crafted panoramic wooden deck and a covered 'sala' pavilion for massages are the finishing touches in this private sanctuary.
Two
mountain bikes are allocated to each villa as well as an electric Buggie for getting around with ease. Each villa enjoys private butler service.
Leisure Facilities Located on the beachfront, the diving and activity centre, changing rooms and interesting displays, where many of the land and marine activities are co-ordinated.
