Cousine is a unique natural paradise and one of the worlds last remaining pristine islands.
A 15-minute helicopter flight from Mahe brings you to this 25 hectare granite island, 6km to the west of Praslin, where 10 lucky guests share Cousine's beaches and forests with exotic birds and wildlife.
This privately owned nature
reserve is a world renowned conservation project, providing a safe haven for endangered species like Magpie Robins as well as Fairy Terns, Green and Hawksbill Turtles.
Turtles breed from September to April and the Lessor Noddy Terns breed from March to October. Lacking natural predators, Cousine's fearless residents allow you to view them from close quarters.
To
protect the environment, development has been kept to a minimum, however guests still enjoy 5-star luxury in the four elegant Villas and air-conditioned restaurant, bar, library and fresh water swimming pool.
Guests are encouraged to get involved in the island and nature - by staying on Cousine Island you contribute to the future of Cousine Island. No profits leave the
island, it is all put back and used for the conservation projects and day to day running of the island - tourism funds the conservation.
Here you can escape the outside world in an exhilarating natural setting of total tranquillity.
