The Shandrani - the name means goddess of the moon in Hindi - is rated highly by the guests who come to relax at this luxurious and unspoilt haven on the historical south coast of Mauritius, amidst a spectacular ocean setting.
This delightful and fun filled resort overlooks the seductive waters of Blue Bay, surrounded by 80 acres of award-winning tropical gardens.

Exuding elegance in an informal, relaxed, but stylish atmosphere with comfortable surrounds while blending into the natural environment through the use of thatch, wood and stone, the Shandrani Hotel offers a wonderful mix of accommodation, fine dining, outstanding sports facilities and total fun for all the family. Ideally nestled alongside the ecologically protected area known as Blue Bay to enjoy the beautiful marine life of the protected Lagoon (great for snorkelling), the Shandrani has the benefit of three distinctively different beaches.
Most unusual for Mauritius, is the romantic 'wild beach' where ocean waves tumble gently onto the beach through a break in the protective coral reef surrounding the island.
Two other beaches overlook the calm turquoise lagoon.

The hotel is situated relatively close to the airport.
Whilst Mauritius is a small island and flights are relatively infrequent,
departing aircrafts can be seen and heard briefly when climbing over the bay.

108 Deluxe Rooms (56m²) offering more space and located away from the main resort facilities towards Le Sirius Restaurant. Freshly designed with an elegant décor, Deluxe Rooms have a large bedroom with lounge area, dressing room, terrace or balcony. Some rooms interconnect with each other, which is perfect for families with older children.

36 Family Apartments (75m²) Located on the first or second floor for families with younger children.
