La Pirogue Resort lies in an inviting setting on the beautiful west coast, near the village of Flic en Flac and 25mns from Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius.

Its 35 acres of tropical gardens front a reef-protected white sand beach nearly a mile long with the bougainvillea-clad cottage-style accommodation offering a relaxed atmosphere.

La Pirogue is right next door to its sister hotel Sugar Beach Resort, with its wide range of amenities available to all guests.

The all ground floor Bungalow accommodation is especially suited for families with very young children, with one child sleeping on the sofa bed.

248 Rooms in thatched cottage units set in the gardens, all with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV with in-house movies, telephone,tea & coffee facilities, mini-bar, bath, shower and terrace.
Each has a traditional island Pirogue-shaped roof, creating light and airy rooms.
Standard rooms are as above.
Superior rooms (slightly larger) and 2 Suites are in individual detached cottages and located closer to the beach.

The main restaurant, The Terrace, is split between the main building and 3 island pods over water facing the Blue Bar and entertainment stage. The Terrace serves buffet-style breakfast, lunchtime pizzas and pasta and themed dinners and barbecues.

Paul & Virginie à la carte restaurant (charge) serving grills, seafood and Mauritian specialities in small semi-private huts overlooking the swimming pool, right by the beach. There is also a choice of bars and snacks and afternoon tea.

Guests receive credit towards à la carte dining at Citronella's Café at Sugar Beach Resort.

An All Inclusive Package Option is also available.

Nightly entertainment includes live bands and shows.

Other facilities include daily supervised programmes for children (4-11 year olds), babysitting (hourly charge), Cyber Café, video games, boutiques\shops, hairdressing salon and 24 hour room service.
Fitness and Beauty Centres available at Sugar Beach.

Free sports include recreation programme, floodlit tennis (charge for equipment), table tennis, mini-golf, laser sailing, pedalos, kayaks, glass bottom trips, snorkelling, windsurfing, waterskiing, volleyball, aquagym classes, aerobics - all sports subject to availability.

Watersports at a supplement: scuba diving, parasailing, big game fishing and banana tube rides.

LaPirogue All Inclusive Holiday Option:
All meals from the Terrace or poolside restaurant (set menu for buffets).
Local spirits, beers, cocktails, house wine by the glass with lunch and dinner, soft drinks (excluding champagne, mini-bar and drinks from the Casino Bar).
All free sports excluding bike and racket hire and horse riding.
