Belle Mare Plage The Legend Golf Course The Legend golf course is the crowning achievement of the Belle Mare Plage Resort, making Mauritius a golfing destination since its opening in January 1994. Each of the 18 holes has distinctive characteristics. Superb fairways are laid in the heart of an
indigenous forest, culminating on velvet greens, made to US PGA regulations. This course is exclusive to hotel clients, and its sister hotel Le Prince Maurice, who can play without green fees.
The Links Open since November 2002, it completes the Belle Mare Plage Resort, with a second 18-hole championship golf course which differs greatly
from the first one as it is inspired by the Links course with rolling fairways. Par 71 with 5927m, the 18th hole is the signature hole along turquoise waters. Like its twin the Legend, the Links offers a Golf Academy by professional and qualified instructors. Use of Club cars is obligatory.
These courses were conceived to annually host a number of international
competitions including the Mauritius Open. Mauritius Golf Open Ever year, since 1994, the Mauritius Golf Open welcomes 70 professionals and over 150 amateurs from 22 countries. Under the patronage of the PGA of Africa, with referees provided by the international PGA, the Mauritius Open establishes the recognition of a real international golfing
range in Mauritius. |

Le Touessrok
Ile aux Cerfs Golf Course An 18-hole championship golf course of extraordinary concept and immaculate execution has been created on its own island: Ile aux Cerfs Golf Course is across a coral lagoon from the renowned
Le Touessrok, and reached by a 'golfing special' water taxi. Playing at over 7000 yards/6476m, this is the longest course in Mauritius. - Bernard Langer has designed the course to challenge advanced players, while remaining exciting and playable for recreational golfers. This has been achieved with four sets of tee decks for each hole, so the angles of attack
and approach vary - with a generous provision of fairway where appropriate. The greens are mainly small and undulating, requiring precise approach shots.
- Golf Academy: The course has its own David Leadbetter Golf Academy. Facilities include five target greens for practice putting/pitching, a private short game area, computer-aided swing analysis and private classroom. -
Guests will also be able to discover the renowned 9-hole, Par 33 Gary Player-designed golf course at the One&Only Le Saint Géran (no green fees, rental of equipment available).
One&Only Le Saint Geran features a 9-hole, Par 33 Gary Player-designed course.
The Maritim Hotel has a 9-hole golf course.
The
Gymkana Club in Vacos is the only golf club not on a hotel complex. Visitors need to pay to access this 18-hole course.
