Family Holidays should be fun

Mauritius is the perfect destination for families due to the warm climate, safe environment and friendly welcoming people. The hotels are well geared towards families with most activities and meals already included making budgeting easy.

All Beachcomber Hotels include a FREE Bob Marlin Mini Club for children from 3 to 12 years. The FREE Bob Marlin Mini Club places a high level of emphasis on fun and education. Children have the opportunity to enjoy the company of other children from around the world with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Arts and crafts, educational and team games plus numerous outdoor activities such as learning to water ski and tennis, or participate in activities including treasure hunts, indoor games and an assortment of beach games. Adventures like a ride in a glass-bottom boat, or learning how to dance the traditional Mauritian dance, the Sega, add to the convivial atmosphere.

Experienced and qualified staff organise the daily program of activities and supervise the Mini Club guests. Children are divided into different age categories and the entertainment is geared towards these different groups.

Open daily and during the evening, the young guests can have lunch (at an extra charge except when staying on All Inclusive holidays at 5* Shandrani, 4* le Mauricia or 4* Le Canonnier where an All Inclusive option is available) and dinner at the Mini-Club or rejoin their parents for meals.
Special children's menus are designed to complement the fun and exciting atmosphere of the Bob Marlin Mini Clubs.

The Mini Clubs are in secluded locations, away from the beach and public areas, within the hotel grounds and are open most of the day and also during the evenings.
One of the highlights for children is their initial welcome to the club, where they receive their very own Bob Marlin rucksack, which includes a T-shirt and other materials as souvenirs of their holiday in Mauritius.

The beauty of it all is that you can spend time with your children enjoying a fun filled sporty holiday without digging too deeply into your pockets thanks to the exclusive Beachcomber Card and free sporting facilities.

Children have complete freedom of choice. They can take part in any activities and attend the Club at any time during opening hours. Each Children Club provides a weekly programme which you may find helpful in creating your own family schedule.

Babysitting
For children under 3 years or for individual childcare, babysitting is available at very reasonable rates. 24 hours advance notice is required. Transport costs for the babysitter may apply.

Teenagers (12 to 17yrs)
You don't need to worry about your teenagers either. For those that have boundless energy and an adventurous spirit, there are endless opportunities for them to try all those adrenalin packed sports like water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, tennis and more.

Please note that no matter where you stay in Mauritius during the low season or outside of the European holiday period, there will be times when no other children will be staying at your chosen hotel.

They recognise the importance of family holidays and know that the costs add up. Special rates for children under 12 years and special accommodation rates are available for teenagers aged 12 to 17 years except The Royal Palm and Sainte Anne Resort & Spa (Seychelles).

Bring your teenagers with you and they will have the opportunity to make friends with others from all over the world while participating in the many sports and free group lessons at the resorts.

Family Accommodation
Family Apartments are available at all hotels except for The Royal Palm. Spacious interconnecting rooms are available at all hotels. Children sharing with parents receive a substantially discounted rate while children in their own room benefit from a reduction in rates (conditions apply). Luxury Family Villas are available at Paradis.
