Dining Facilities There are two excellent à la carte restaurants.
The main open-sided restaurant, 24 Degrees, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serves
Continental, Japanese and pan-Asian cuisines from 7am to 11pm. Set by the ocean, 24 Degrees enjoys a relaxed, almost timeless air. Meals are unhurried, and served at your pace. The service is unobtrusive yet ensures you want for nothing.
Choose between the split-level interiors or right out on the beach under a canopy of stars. Much like everything else on the island you'll find there's very little separating the great outdoors from the inside. Making this the ideal destination for candle-lit dinners, themed evenings or even a champagne breakfast.
Taj Exotica's fine
dining Mediterranean restaurant, The Deep End, serves a choice of seafood, finest meats as well as vegetarian options. Perched out on the ocean, a torch-lit wooden gangway takes you up into interiors that are no less dramatic than the location. In the centre lies a circular opening that showcases the ocean below. The seating area is arranged around this and makes for a memorable meal. An open deck takes you further out into the deep blue. While the restaurant's thatched canopy offers open-air dining for those who'd rather stay indoors.
Candlelit beach dinners for two, champagne breakfasts, picnics and private in-villa dining can also be arranged on request.
Poolside cocktails and snacks are also available.
For winding down at the end of a long lazy day in the Maldivian sun, the waterfront bar, The Equator, would be hard to
beat - A fine collection of wines and spirits nestle here. Complemented by a décor that promotes an easy, relaxed ambience. On offer is a master list of wines specially put together for the resort. Feel free to take a trip to the wine room and sample a few wines before you take your pick.
The Equator is characterised by a sunken sand pit, set around a bar and a spacious airy deck lit with traditional torches. The air is thick with a repertoire of jazz and blues. And for the late night drinkers, there are the spirits, schnapps, malts and cognacs. While cigar smokers can take their pick from a selection of Cuban cigars.
