Seychelles International Airport Mahe

Island Hopping & Two Centre Holiday Options

It can be difficult to make a choice from all the magnificent destinations and properties on offer. Visitors to the Seychelles often make the most of the incredible number of beauty spots by island hopping.

If you are planning your own island hopping holiday we would ask you to bear in mind that all inter-island flights operate from Mahe. Thus to fly from Praslin to Bird Island for example, you must make a connection through Mahe.

Helicopters are a safe and comfortable way to hop from one island to another. With daily trips from Mahe to the most popular islands, flying with Helicopter Seychelles is the most convenient and also the most enjoyable mode of transport.

Charter flights are also available and maybe tailored to meet your specific needs.

Mahe - Praslin (15 mns): frequent flights daily
Mahe - Denis Island (25 mns): 5 weekly flights excluding Wed & Sat
Mahe - Alphonse (1 hour): 5 weekly flights excluding Tue & Thu
Mahe - Desroches (1 hour): 5 weekly flights excluding Tue & Thu
Mahe - Bird Island (30 mns): one flight per day
Mahe - Labriz Silhouette (15 mns): transfers by helicopter
Mahe - Fregate Island Private (20 mns): transfers by helicopter
Mahe - Cousine Island (15 mns): transfers by helicopter
Mahe - North Island (20 mns): transfers by helicopter
Mahe - Sainte Anne (25 mns): by road & boat (helicopter 5 mns)
Praslin - La Digue: served 5 times daily by ferry

Inter-island flights are operated in small aircraft, often with about 20 seats. As a result luggage space is restricted and there is only an allowance of 10 kgs or 15 kgs on some flights. Excess baggage may be left on Mahe.

We recommend you travel light.
Timetables can also vary due to weather conditions.

When planning your itinerary please bear in mind that it may be necessary to spend the first or last night of your holiday on Mahe to allow for international flight connections.
