Family Holidays should be fun

Mauritius is the perfect family destination due to the warm climate, safe environment and friendly welcoming people. Hotels are well geared towards families with most activities and meals already included making budgeting easy.

All Beachcomber Hotels include a FREE Bob Marlin Mini Club for children aged 3 to 12 years. They have the opportunity to enjoy the company of other children from around the world with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.

Experienced qualified staff supervise the children who are divided into different age categories and the entertainment is geared towards these different groups.

One of the highlights is their initial welcome, where they receive their very own Bob Marlin rucksack, which includes a T-shirt and other materials as souvenirs.

Open daily and during evenings, the young guests can have lunch (at an extra charge except when staying on All Inclusive at 5* Shandrani, 4* Le Mauricia or 4* Le Canonnier and 4* Le Victoria) and dinner at the Mini-Club or rejoin their parents for meals. Special menus are designed to complement the fun.

Children have complete freedom of choice: they can take part in any activities and attend the Club at any time during opening hours. Each Club provides a weekly programme which you may find helpful in creating your own family holiday schedule.

Babysitting
For the little ones under 3 years or for individual childcare, babysitting is available at very reasonable rates. 24 hours advance notice is required. Transport costs for the babysitter may apply.

Teenagers (12 to 17 yrs)
You don't need to worry about your teenagers either. For those that have boundless energy and an adventurous spirit, there are endless opportunities for them to try all those adrenalin packed sports like water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, tennis and more.

Special rates for under 12 year olds and special accommodation rates are available for teenagers aged 12 to 17 years except The Royal Palm and Sainte Anne Resort & Spa (Seychelles).

Bring your teenagers with you and they will have the opportunity to make friends with others from all over the world while participating in the many sports and free group lessons at the resorts.

Luxury Accommodation
Family Apartments are available at all hotels except The Royal Palm in Grand Baie. Spacious interconnecting rooms are available at all hotels. Children sharing with parents receive a substantially discounted rate while children in their own room benefit from a reduction in rates (conditions apply). Luxury Family Villas are available at Paradis and Trou Aux Biches.

Children Activities Include
Free coaching for water-skiing, sailing, windsurfing, tennis and golf (where applicable) · (from the age of 10, they can learn to scuba-dive on Beachcomber's exclusive PADI approved Bubblemaker programme - available at most resorts for a nominal charge) · Outdoor games such as hide and seek, treasure hunts, mini Olympics and trips on glass bottom boats to discover the colourful marine life · Outdoor play areas with seesaws, swings, etc · Indoor activities include play dough, board games, colouring, shell painting, etc · TV and videos · Supervised dining in the restaurants/Miniclubs · Evening entertainment includes traditional Mauritian séga dancing, clown shows, drawing competitions, movies, etc...
